Sales manager-Green energy and telecoms solutions

The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sales revenue for the company. He will achieve this by among other things: building a sales pipeline, pitching to clients, developing commercial proposals and submitting bids for tenders. He is responsible for leading customer facing negotiations for products, solutions, prices, terms and conditions of major deals. He has to do this whilst working with the appropriate internal organizations to ensure buy-in and compliance with company policy and processes.

Role & Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development of new business, new clients and new contracts. He will manage continuous engagement with customers to drive retention and loyalty. He will be responsible for the development of customer value propositions in conjunction with the technical team.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for briefing the operations and technical team on customer requirements so that the technical team can structure technical solutions and commercial value propositions for customers. He will ensure proper utilization of commercial, legal and financial terms and conditions as well as utilizing economic, financial and other information to support compelling commercial propositions. He will manage and coordinate the engagement of technical, customer support, operations, legal, finance and all other cross-functional stakeholders. The Sales Manager will co-ordinate and manage all internal negotiations required to successfully conclude a deal.

He will lead commercial negotiations with customers, negotiate contract changes and manage contract disputes, working with the appropriate internal organizations to resolve issues with the customer and act as the customer’s point of contact for all commercial matters

Skills and experience:
The Sales Manager must have in depth knowledge of the renewable energy, energy and/ or telecommunications market.
He must have negotiation experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional and long term deals having demonstrated ability to defend commercial positions, create zone for negotiated agreement, and close contracts.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate and identify business needs as well as to develop commercial propositions, recommendations and solutions. He will have strong business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success. He should be able to interface with customer executives and senior managers demonstrating tact, diplomacy and effective communication and persuasion capabilities. He must have demonstrated knowledge and experience of legal, business and financial principles and concepts.

This role will typically require 5 – 8 years related experience with a degree or equivalent experience. The role holder must have the ability to work independently to determine and develop approach to solutions. He should be able to flex into a project leadership type role.

The role will require dynamic males aged between 28 and 32.
They should be highly ambitious and energetic individuals.
Degree Holders with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the
technology/telecoms/energy/IT space.

The target remuneration is Kes. 120,000 to kes. 200,000.
